Great spot for small events. A friend hosted a baby shower at this location recently. Our group were seated in a section of the restaurant that was separated by a thick curtain. We opted for the bunch menu. All the guests enjoyed their food choices and a few ordered take away dishes after the event. I ordered the RUM-GLAZED CUBAN PORK with Black beans, coconut mango rice, pico de gallo. It was delicious. The service was a little slow. There seemed to have been only two people assigned to our event. Overall a good dining experience.

My boyfriend loves Paladar and has been trying to get me to come here for two months now. I finally went last night for dinner and the food/drinks were amazing! I had their Rum glazed pork with brussel sprouts and yuca fries. These aren’t the sides that usually come with this dish, but I am allergic to the other sides they offered, so they let me choose two different sides. I feel terrible because I don’t remember our waitress’s name, but she was very sweet and made our dinner even better! I can’t wait to return and try some of their other dishes, this place is fantastic!

Great place to hang out in Downtown Rio. Probably the best Latin fare you get in this part and great selection of rums and cocktails. Shrimps and grits were the best I have tasted ever.

Cool Latin restaurant and rum bar. I've been a few times now, and it's an enjoyable place. The food has good flavors, is presented well, and does have a pan-Latin flair. I've done a rum flight and that's a worthwhile experience - you get to try 3 rums. The music seems a bit loud to actually have a conversation with your dining companions - I'm not sure that's so practical, I mean I get that they're projecting a fun image but in my experience, people occasionally like to talk to the people they're dining with. I think this is a case of a high-energy bar staff setting the tone.

Date Night ! This place is lively and most certainly a new favorite. We went on a Friday night and had reservations and it looked as if you definitely should have one ! They also had a really nice happy menu as well. We had a nice booth in the corner. The drinks and food were amazing!! The rum punch was my favorite and the calamari was hit as well Needless to say I’ll be for sure returning !

I love this place! The food is excellent! The service is excellent! The atmosphere is excellent! For this visit, we sat in the side room. There is a spacious bar (which had live music tonight), restaurant area and seating outdoors. All of these places are comfortable and easy to enjoy your meal or drinks. Tonight our server was Nathan! He was outstanding. Fun, attentive and worked with us to determine our meals and drinks. Tonight we started with the house-made salsa. We opted for the “trio” and was not disappointed with Nathan’s recommendations. Definitely get one that includes the grilled pineapple. I highly recommend you start here or with the craft-your-own guacamole, which we have had many times and is also excellent. For dinner I had my standard which is the braised beef tacos. The rice and beans are also very tasty. We also had the Pork Carnitas tacos and the Shrimp Tacos. Also very tasty. For salad lovers, we had the Carribean Mango Chicken, and for the seafood lovers had the Brazilian Seafood Stew. Great presentations and enjoyed by those ordering them. To top off the night, we shared a Coconut Flan which was excellent. For drinks I recommend the mojitas. Tonight we had the traditional and the pineapple mojitas. Others enjoyed the white wine. Finally, after dinner we moved to the bar to listen to live music. Great venue, and an enjoyable atmosphere. So stop on by, get great service from Nathan, and enjoy your meal. And don't forget the mojito!

I think this place is an ok happy hour spot, but just for drinks and not food. The margaritas, both the traditional and the strawberry, were great. I would recommend getting sugar instead of salt for the strawberry margarita, but I like how it can be customized. The regular margarita had a nice kick along with the citrus and salty notes. The strawberry margarita was a tad sweet and also great. The mojito was good as well. As for the happy hour food, I can only recommend the chips and guacamole. I liked how the chips were varied and either made of sliced yucca, plantain, etc. The guacamole tasted fresh but I wish it had more citrus. The avocado deviled eggs and chimichurri sliders were not great. The sliders were subpar and the meat was a bit dry and lacked flavor. Plus the portions were super small. The deviled eggs had an odd sweet taste with the honey, but with it being cold and the flavors somewhat conflicting, it really made it unenjoyable for me. I've tried deviled eggs in the past and I've liked them a lot more than the ones they serve here. The atmosphere is very lively and the service is good. There is plenty of seating and a ton of TVs to watch football games or whatever is going on. I have yet to try this place outside of happy hour times.
